What We Do Differently

Your health isn’t separate from your work, your focus, or your energy. Your health is your engine.

Most care is built around problems—wait until something breaks, then fix it. That works for emergencies but fails for real life.

We look at how your brain and body are fueled across your day—and where that system is breaking down. Then we build simple, precise strategies to support attention, stamina, and recovery.

Because you don’t need a perfect routine. You need one that works under real conditions.

Understanding your body

You’ve Invested in Mastering Complex Skills.

Who Taught You How to Manage Your Body?

If you’re reading this, you’ve spent years mastering complex skills. But where did you learn to manage your biology? Usually, it’s from locker rooms, grocery store magazines, or generic advice designed for “everyone” but fitting no one.

Your body doesn’t respond to general principles. It responds to what you actually do in your 24-hour day.

Your Brain Plans Ahead. Your Cells Live in the Present.

Your brain thinks in strategies. Your cells? They only have one question: Is there fuel and material for this workload right now?

Your cells cannot borrow against your good intentions. When meals are skipped and stress is unrelenting, your body compensates. Stress hormones and gluconeogenesis to “manufacture” energy, frequently from existing body proteins you’d built with care. Now, finding yourself in an energy crisis, you don’t burn fluff, you burn protein.

The cost of compensation is real:

  • You slowly replace muscle (used as emergency fuel).

  • Your liver overloads with fuel held in reserve.

  • Your range narrows. You’re still you, but it takes longer to recover from effort, stress, or illness.

Measurement Reveals What Guessing Can’t

That afternoon fog isn’t a character flaw; it’s a resource management error. We help you move past the “Eat better, sleep more” clichés. By measuring labs, patterns, and load tracking, we identify your biological bottleneck—the specific place where your system is working hardest just to keep up.

We don’t give you a new “plan” to push through. We make the smallest effective change to your biology so your body has the room to maneuver again.

Steady energy isn’t a reward for discipline. It’s the condition that allows discipline to exist.

How we help

How Compri Health Helps

We don’t guess. And we don’t add to the load. Our goal is to find the largest biological bottleneck — the place where your body is working hardest to compensate — and reduce the pressure there first.

For some people, this looks like replacing irregular fueling patterns that drive hepatic insulin resistance: instead of overwhelming the system at unpredictable times, we shift to smaller, scheduled inputs the body can anticipate. For others, the entry point is perimenopause, protein timing, iron deficiency, sleep architecture, or accumulated recovery debt.

While lives are different, the laws of biology are universal. Adaptation to your life is where we win or lose.  examples differ. The principle doesn’t.

We’re not trying to override biology with discipline or change what’s already happened. We meet the body where it is, asking it to adapt less on ordinary days, so it performs brilliantly on extraordinary days.

We study how your days actually unfold: fuel timing, sleep, movement, stress, recovery. Then we intervene precisely — using the smallest effective change that restores predictability and frees up capacity.

Because when biological load comes down, options open up.

How to work with us

A Partnership in Performance

You aren’t here because you’re broken. There’s more right than wrong. Still, compensation has a cost. Over time, it narrows your margin—your energy, your patience, and your ability to adapt. We are here to shift that trajectory.

Small changes can build capacity. We don’t ask you to override your biology with willpower. By measuring fuel, demand, and recovery, we find the smallest effective change that restores your margin. You shouldn’t become a different person or make your health your whole life. Understanding your biology, your patterns can allow you to make sticky, effective change.

Two pathways for support:

Primary Care Membership.
This is for those looking for a long-term, local primary care home. We provide straightforward medical care and wellness where appropriate, routine wellness visits, and urgent sickness/injury care. Our goal is to catch problems early and reverse unnecessary decline.

  • For Individuals: If you’re looking for prompt attention and an ongoing relationship witn your  care provider, our primary care clinic may be a great place for you. Or, perhaps you’re interested in making a change in your weight with GLP-1 type medication or simply take agressive action to improve your weight independent of medicaiton.  We’re here to support GCM’s, GLP-1’s and health trackers to enhance your success.

  • For Employers: Group plans are availible to support a healthy, high-performing workforce. We regularly partner with Hint Connect to provide local support to regional employers, and partner directly with small business & creative firms who have fewer than 40 employees living in RVA.

Medical Weight Loss Clinic
This is not a traditional diet program, nor is it a lifelong subscription. It is a scheduled, high-intensity behavioral program designed for 6 to 18 months to help you disentangle your metabolic health and shift from treading water to flourishing.

Medications may be used as a supporting tool, but our focus is deeper: re-anchoring your daily patterns around fuel, movement, and well-being. We want to leave you with true mastery—so you feel like you are creating your health, rather than your health just happening to you.

Program Requirements & Cadence:

  • Hyper-Local Focus: Due to the hands-on nature of this care, enrollment is limited to adults who live or work within 10 miles of our clinic.

  • Visit pattern: Face-to-face, hands-on visits every 6 weeks (includes clinical check-ins, labs, and body composition analysis), paired with phone or Zoom check-ins every 3 weeks in between.

  • Graduation Path: After the first 6 months and you’ve achieved stability, your provider will evaluate your progress to discuss stepping down to a lower support tier.

Let’s build that system together.

Sarah Bragdon, NP & Ap. Behavioral Scientist

Hi, I’m Sarah. I’m a Nurse Practitioner and applied behavioral scientist. I help high-performing adults channel their focus and energy to recover or mantain their health and stamina.

There’s a thousand things you could choose, but only a few paths likely to get you what you most need. From sustainable weight loss, building an adult life you’re proud of, to looking towards retirement with excitement? We’re here to help you thrive.

Together, we build a flexible, sustainable health so you can think clearly, lead effectively, and protect your edge.

Sarah Bragdon has been a trusted advisor for me since our very first appointment together. She took time to review the complicated background I gave her. She took her time explaining things to me and also listening to my experience and concerns, helping me understand more about the challenges I have.

We love race day’s and PR’s. We’re also here if you’re feeling stuck and need practical help.  Because helping you understand and take action is the heart of our practice.

[Sarah] has been instrumental in my wellness journey. She helped me get updated labs, walked me through the results, and built a thoughtful, realistic plan tailored to my needs. But more than that, she listens. She validates my concerns, asks the right questions, and brings a level of compassion that reminds me how far I’ve come. As Sarah said, “your 20-year-old self would be so proud”.
